In 1983, Jerry began JT Steel with one thing in mind, providing a great product he could stand behind backed by great service. Over the last 25 years, that same philosophy has empowered the JT Steel team to grow into one of Utah’s best steel fabricators.

Attended Youngstown State University, Youngstown, Ohio and started in steel fabrication in 1974. Mike began in our shop in 1990 and moved into estimating in 1995. Mike ensures that J.T. Steel has plenty of work and keeps everyone performing at their best.

Randy has worked in the steel industry for 48 years. Of that, 15 years in steel detailing and 33 years in Project Management in steel fabrication and erection. Randy is JT Steel’s Sr. Project Manager and is the Qualifying Agent for our Nevada Contractors License.

Dale has worked in the structural steel industry since 1983 and is a certified structural steel fitter and welder. Dale is also educated and trained in Fabtrol, estimating and project management.

Barry joined the JT Steel project management team in 2021 and has worked in the steel industry for 43 years. 19 years self-employed in detailing for clients throughout the US and 24 years in fabrication and erection. Barry offers knowledge and expertise in the structural steel industry and is dedicated to achieving successful results.

Wendy joined the JT Steel team in 2015. She has been in the steel industry for over 20 years since moving to Utah. She has experience in project coordinating, managing, and purchasing.

Lesley joined the JT Steel team in April of 2010. She was the HR Manager until 2021 and has since taken on the role of Office Manager, overseeing all the accounting as well as HR needs of the company. She works hard to make sure our customers, suppliers and employees are all taken care of.

Linda joined the team in 2006. She is our contact for everything drawings. She sends and receives drawings by email. Downloads and uploads drawings to/from sites. Prints, scans, files, and archives drawings. She also operates the large format printer we have her at JT Steel.

She has 49 years experience in the Structural Steel Industry. she owned and operated CW Steel Inc. for 26 years with her family. Wendy joined the JT Steel team in 2009 as an Estimator and has moved into the purchasing role.

Jeremy Arnold started working for JT Steel in 1996 in the shop as a Welder/Fitter and moved in to the Office as a Project Manager and is now one of our Estimators. Jeremy offers extensive experience in the Structural Steel Industry.

Dave has 37 years experience in the Steel industry. David started working with JT Steel in 1996 as a Welder/Fitter and became Shop Foreman. He then moved into the office as an Estimator and now is a Project Manager/Estimator.

Ron joined the JT Steel team in 2020. He started his structural steel career in 1994 as a machine operator and worked his way through fitting and welding into estimating. Ron also has experience in project management, plate fabrication, steel bridges, pressure vessels, and API tanks.

Phil started in the steel business in 1966 as a draftsman and was soon trained in estimating. He is experienced in structural steel, platework, ASME vessel design, API tank design, bridges, and other areas of fabrication. He was head of an engineering and drafting department for about ten years and then a sales manager covering almost the entire United States for about 15 years. He has worked primarily as an estimator for the last 20 years and enjoys the challenges of the steel industry and the competitive bidding for projects.

Jace studied construction management at Southern Utah University before joining JT Steel in 2015. He programs all of the automated machinery and is now the Production Manager.

He has 50 years experience in the Structural Steel Industry. He has worked for several Structural Steel Fabrication Shops and joined the JT Steel team as a fitter and moved into the Shop Forman role for the Day Shift.

Jason worked in construction, doing stucco work for 10 year and has worked in the steel industry since 2007 as a fitter. He started working at JT steel in 2013 and has worked in parts, welding, machine operating and painting before being appointed our night shift foreman.

Steve joined the JT Steel team in 1997 to manage our shipping and receiving department as well as oversee administrative duties in fleet maintenance, purchasing, and safety.

Joined JT Steel in March 2005 and has 47 years of industry experience and is very well known and respected in the steel inspection industry. Brian is a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and our Quality Control Manager. Brian ensures that JT Steel produces the highest quality products.

Christopher started at JT Steel in our maintenance department in 2020. Chris brings over 8 years of experience in management, maintenance, and mechanical assembly. Chris ensures that our equipment and facilities are in top condition to provide the best products to our customers.
